THE SKIRT

Actualizo desde casa de Susana,donde nos hemos reunido para sacar unas fotitos a esa maravillosa falda de la que os hablé y que seguro ya habéis visto en otros blogs en el día de hoy. Resulta que cuando Bea vino a Madrid no sólo descubrimos que era una chica super maja, también descubrimos esta pedazo de falda que llevaba en la noche que fuimos a cenar al mexicano. Sobra decir que todas nos enamoramos de la falda y gracias al chivatazo de Bea nos la compramos todas. No es la primera prenda que coincidimos unas cuantas, así que pensamos que sería una buena idea hacer un post en el que cada una mostramos cómo llevaríamos una misma prenda. Así que aquí está mi estilismo, para ver el resto pasaros por los blogs de Erea, Bea, Lorena y Susi.

I´m posting from Susana´s house, where we´ve taken some pics of the wonderful skirt I told you about the other day and that you might have seen in other blogs today. When Bea came to Madrid, we didn´t only discover a great girl, we also discovered this wonderful skirt she was wearing the day we had dinner at the mexican restaurant.We all fell in love with the skirt and decided to get it. It´s not the first item of clothes our closet´s share, so we decided to make a post on how to wear the same piece with different styles. Esta vez no toca lunes con fotos de fiesta, empiezo la semana con un outfit. Outfit que tiene una de mis piezas más preciadas, esta capa vintage que me compré el invierno pasado. Una de las cosas interesantes de comprar cosas de segunda mano (vintage queda muy bonito, pero todos sabemos de lo que estamos hablando...) es imaginarse la historia que puede haber detrás de cada prenda. En este caso quiero pensar que la capa era de algún soldado que tuvo una vida de película, al menos mi hermana dice que es una capa de soldado. Sea verdad o no, siempre queda más bonito imaginarse que hay una historia interesante detrás de lo que llevas puesto...

I´m not starting the week with a party post, instead of that I´m showing you an outfit. An outfit which contains one of my most valuable items of clothes: this vintgae cape that I got last winter. One of the interesting things about buying second hand clothes (yes, vintage sounds nicer, but we all Know what we are talking about...) is to imagine what story is hidden under the clothes you are wearing. In this case, I like to think it was a soldier with a really heroic and romantic life who wore this cape in the past, at least my sister always says that´s a soldier´s cape. Maybe it´s not true, but it´s always nice to imagine there´s a beautiful story hidden in the clothes you are wearing....

Y mirar qué dibujo tan chulo que me ha mandado Natalie, esa chica tan maja que se esconde detrás de Skippinginheels. De verdad que me ha encantado el dibujo. Me parece suuuuper mono y me encanta cómo ha captado la ropa. De verdad que yo no sé qué hacer para agradecer todas estas cositas que hacéis por mí y que me alegran el día. ¡Millll gracias!

And look at this drawing the lovely Natalie from Skippinginheels made for me. Isn´t it sooooo cute. I really really love it, I love the way she did the clothes, it´s so funny! I really don´t Know what to do to show you how thankful I am for all these nice litlle thing you do for me, you really make my day! Thankssssss!

aviator jacket...done!

Puedo decir que poco a poco voy consiguiendo todas esas prendas con las que me quería hacer esta temporada. No son precisamente pocas y encima cada vez van apareciendo más, así que se puede decir que mi bolsillo está sufriendo de lo lindo. Pero yo soy feliz, lo cual me da que pensar... A veces me planteo que es un poco preocupante que lo que más satisfacción me dé sea comprar ropa.Supongo que llenar mi armario de ropa es una manera de suplir otras cosas que me gustaría tener pero que el dinero no me puede dar...Eso...o...¡qué cojones! ¡me gusta la ropa y punto...!

I have to say I´m doing quite well at completing my wish list for this season. The thing is, I have lots of stuff in my wish list and new items are included every day. And my economy is suffering the consequences...But I have to say shopping makes me happy, and this actually makes me think...Sometimes I think it´s quite worrying that the thing that brings me the most satisfaction is spending my money in clothes. I suppose filling my wardrobe with clothes is a way to make up for the things I don´t have and I can´t buy with money...Etheir that...or...wtf! I just loooove shopping!

As you can see, I finally got my aviator jacket!!! But not only that, today I bought a great skirt that you will not only see in my blog,  afew more bloggers had the urge to buy it too...

the power of Zara

Seguro que estaréis de acuerdo conmigo en que los lookbooks de Zara tienen un poder sobrenatural para crear en el consumidor unas ganas exageradas de comprar su ropa. Pero es que el estilista de esos outfits tan geniales es todo un genio. No sé quién será, pero tengo que decir desde aquí que ha causado un efecto bárbaro en mí y me resulta prácticamente inevitable no seguir al pie de la letra algunos de sus looks. Creo que éste es un ejemplo de un look totalmente al estilo Zara.

I´m sure you agree with me...don´t you think Zara´s lookbooks have an amazing power to drive costumers to buy their clothes like there was no tomorrow? I don´t Know who the stylist is, but what I do Know is that this genius has made a huge impact on me. It seems practically impossible for me not to copy some of their looks detail by detail. I think this is a great example of a Zara inspired outfit...

Empezar bien un lunes no es fácil, así que qué mejor manera de hacerlo que con una buena sesión de fotos de fiesta.

Este fin de seamana tuvimos el placer de ampliar un poquito más esa familia blogger que nos estamos montando con la visita de Bea de Bailando en una maceta. Y la reunión fue genial, tal y como era de esperar. ¿Qué decir de Bea? Que es una tía majísima, tal y como me la esperaba, y que a los 10 minutos ya parecía como si fuera una más y llevara desde el principio con nosotras. Así que seguro que esto no se quedará en un encuentro aislado y seguro que repetimos más quedadas con ella.

Y por supuesto, mi cámara de fiesta estuvo presente en tan genial acontecimiento.

This weekend we had the chance to add a new member to our own little family of bloggers. Bea from Bailando en una maceta made a little visit to Madrid and we had te best time ever. What can I say about her? Well, she´s simply great, just as I imagined her, and after the first ten minutes talking to her it was like she had been with us since we started our bloggers meetings. So I´m sure she´ll be visiting us very soon.


And of course, my party camara was invited to such a great event.

Y muy importante. Hace tiempo os conté que Lorena, Erea, Susana y yo habíamos colaborado con la revista MIAU. Pues ya ha salido el nuevo número en el que aparecemos. Así que no dudéis en pasaros. Sólo puedo dar las gracias a las chicas de MIAU y decir la rabia que me da no haber tenido dinero el día del reportaje para comprarme ese vestido tan chulo que me probé...LO QUIERO...

And very important. Some time ago I mentioned that Lorena, Erea, Susana and I had made a little collaboration with MIAU Magazine. Well, the new number is out now, so if you want to see us don´t think it twice and have a look at the mag. I can only say two things: Thanks to the girls in MIAU Magazine for thinking of us for this little project, and Why, why why didn´t I have any money to buy the dress I´m wearing in the pic...I LOVE IT.
