Hay que ver lo difícil que se me está haciendo actualizar últimamente, pero bueno, aquí os traigo un look del fin de semana pasado. Es ponerme este abrigo, una de las mejores compras vintage que he hecho nunca, y trasladarme directamente a los años 70. Y si encima le añado este vestido con cierto toque hippy ya tengo el pack completo.

 Que paséis buena semana. Yo haré lo posible por pasarme por aquí. 

 It's getting more and more difficult to update the blog lately, at least today I can bring you an outfit I wore last weekend. Whenever I wear this coat, one of my favourite vintage treasures, I inmediately feel the 70's vibe. And the feeling is even stronger if I pair my coat with this hippy style dress. Don't you think?

Es una delicia tener a mano las calles del centro de Madrid. A partir de ahora, aparecerán mucho por aquí.

I love the streets in the centre of Madrid and it's so wonderful to have them just outside my house. From now on they are my new best friend for taking outfit pics.

The cruditè company

No es nada nuevo que estas últimas semanas están plagadas de presentaciones, open days y demás eventos. Pero teniendo en cuenta lo liada que estoy últimamente, no he tenido tiempo prácticamente para nada. Al menos pude escaparme para hacer una rápida visita al showroom de The Cruditè Company y ver qué nos traerán Woolrich, Dolfie y B.D. Baggies para la próxima temporada.

These past few weeks have been full of open days, presentations and all kinds of events. But I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to attend most of these events. At least I managed to make a quick visit to The Cruditè Company Showroom and get a look at what Woolrich, Dolfie and B.D.Baggies are bringing us next season.

Con esto de la mudanza he recuperado alguna prenda que tenía en el olvido. Entre ellas esta chaqueta que me compré hace siglos, cuando todavía tenía mi color de pelo natural. Como dato curioso os diré que siempre sitúo todo en el tiempo en base a antes o después de ser rubia platino...Y de eso ya hace muchos años. El caso es que decidí darle otra oportunidad y aquí está el resultado. Además, como buena escocesa que soy, no puede faltar un poco de tartan en mi armario...

Moving to my new house has made me realise that there are quite a few things I had that I didn't even remember. One of these things is this coat. I bought it ages ago, when I still had my natural hair color. I have to confess I always set things in time according to the time I started dying my hair, and I've been a platinum blonde for a ver long time. Anyway, I decided to give the coat a second chance and this is the result. In the end, I'm Scottish, so I obviously have to have some tartan in my closet.

La independencia tiene muchas cosas buenas, pero también tiene un lado no tan positivo. Y es que ahora toca controlar mucho más los gastos y por tanto mi ritmo de compras ya no podrá ser el mismo. Pero bueno, siempre me quedará deleitarme con colecciones tan geniales como ésta de Carven. Y es que lo tiene todo para ser una de mis colecciones favoritas de este invierno: los colores, los abrigos de piel, las trencas, los estampados y los mocasines. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Bueno sí, dinero para poder comprarme uno de esos jerseys. Tendré que seguir echando la loteria....

Getting your own place can bring you a lot of positive things, but there is another aspect that it's not that great. From now on I have to change my spending habits and that means a lot less shopping. Anyway, I can always resort to indulge myself looking at amazing collections like Carven's fall/winter collection. It has everything I need to fall in love with a winter collection: the colours, the fur coats, duffle coats, the prints and the loafers. What else can you ask for? Well, it would be nice to have enough money to buy one of these amazing sweaters. I guess I'll have to continue playing the lottery...

Sigo sin internet y sin tiempo para dedicar al blog. Pero al menos tengo delante de mi nueva casa mi calle favorita con todas sus tiendas vintage, el lugar perfecto para sacar rápidamente unas fotos con el look del día.

I still have no internet at home and no time to dedicate to the blog, but at least I have right in front of my new house my favourite street and all its vintage stores. The best place to take some quick snaps of the look of the day.

My new home

Supongo que   los que  no me seguís en twitter no sabréis a qué se ha debido esta pequeña ausencia. Pues resulta que por fin, ¡lo he conseguido! ¡Me he independizado! Al final todo ha salido perfecto y he conseguido un piso donde siempre había querido vivir, con balcón incluido a mi querida calle Fuencarral. Pero todavía queda mucho trabajo para que mi amiga Tichún y yo consigamos que nuestro piso se convierta en nuestro nuevo hogar. Estoy deseando que empiece a tomar forma y  poder enseñaros el resultado final. Mientras tanto os dejo con una imagen de mi lugar favorito de la casa. ¡Soy tan feliz en este balcón! Y lo sería mucho más si mi cuerpo no siguiera lleno de virus, pero eso ya es otra historia...

Me despido hasta que consiga tener conexión a internet en casa...

I guess all of you who don't follow me on twitter have no idea why I haven 't been posting this week. The thing is, I finally did it! I got my own place in the centre of Madrid, in the very same neighborhood I always wanted to live in, with my own little balcony to my beloved Fuencarral street. But there's still a lot of work to be done before my friend Tichun and I manage to turn this appartment into our new home. I can't wait to show you the result. In the meantime here's an image of my favourite part of the house. I'm so happy with my balcony! Although I would be even happier if my pharyngitis had already dissapeared, but that's another story....

Éste no ha sido mi mejor fin de semana. A cierto tema que me traía un poco de mal humor se le unió un terrible dolor de garganta y oídos que me llevó a hacer una visita de urgencia al médico el sábado. La faringitis y su consecuente malestar general todavía me acompañan, pero al menos he visto un poco la luz en ese otro tema que me trae de cabeza, pero hasta dentro de unos días no podré cantar victoria. ¡Crucemos los dedos!

Por lo demás, no sé si ya lo he mencionado alguna vez pero tengo verdadera obsesión por los abrigos, Hay gente que le da por los zapatos, otra por los bolsos, pues lo mío son los abrigos. Cada temporada me tengo que comprar alguno y éste es el primero de este otoño-invierno. ¿Qué os parece?

This wasn't my best weekend. First of all, I haven't been in my best mood lately due to a little thing that has been driving me crazy. Secondly, I started feeling a terrible pain in my throat and ears so I had to make a quick visit to the doctor on Saturday. My pharyngitis hasn't abandoned me yet, but at least I've started to see the light in that other thing that was worrying me, although I can`t have anything for sure for a few more days. Wish me luck!

On another note, have I ever mentioned how much I love coats? Some people have a thing for shoes, others for bags, but in my case, I love love love coats. Every season I tend to buy a few coats, and this one I'm showing you today is the first one of my fall winter 2011-2012 collection. What do you think?
